McNair Assistant Director
Meika Samuel serves as the Assistant Director of the Ronald E. McNair Post-Baccalaureate Achievement Program, also referred to as the McNair Scholars Program. The McNair Scholars Program is designed to prepare undergraduate students for doctoral studies through involvement in research and other scholarly activities. Her experience implementing undergraduate research training programs and mentoring underrepresented students closely aligns with the mission of the McNair Scholars Program.
Meika utilizes a holistic approach and culturally inclusive practices in order to serve a diverse array of learners. She strives to empower learners and has devoted effort towards serving students and strengthening their support networks. Her greatest mission is to connect people with resources.
Meika earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, Master’s Degree from the University of South Carolina and Certificate in College Teaching and Learning Science from the University of Maryland Baltimore County.
