McNair Scholars Awarded for Research


Three UNC Chapel Hill McNair Scholars were recognized with Honorable Mention Awards during the Undergraduate Research Poster Competition held as part of the Black Doctoral Network Conference (BDN) in Atlanta. Their Research covered topics relevant to Public Health, Medical Anthropology and Psychology. The BDN National Conference brought together world renowned and emergent Scholars and Professionals from the Social Sciences, STEM, and Humanities. The Conference served as a Support System, Space for Intellectual Exchange, Opportunity to Create Connections and Platform for Scholars to Develop Impactful Collaborations. The Multi-Day Conference brought together Undergraduate and Graduate Students as well as Researchers/Professionals from across the nation. Attendees engaged in Workshops, Panel Discussions and Networking Activities. The Conference also included a Recruitment and Resource Fair.
